ALG selected Data Analytics Provider by EASA for the Data4Safety Programme

ALG and Minsait by Indra have been declared the winning bidder of the tendering process held by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA), aimed at appointing the Data Analytics Provider (DAP) for the Proof of Concept phase of the Data4Safety Programme– the European Big Data Analytics Platform for aviation safety.

One of the strategic objectives of EASA is the development of a European wide-system of data exchange and analysis that will enable the identification and assessment of the safety and environmental protection issues followed by safety actions planning and monitoring and finally the measure of the performance. In order to address the challenges of such an ambitious objective, EASA launched the “Data4Safety” Programme. This Programme will take advantage of Big Data technologies and aims at providing Europe with a safety analysis system that is data-driven and data-based.

ALG and Minsait by Indra will take the role of the Data Analytics Provider in the D4S Programme, being then responsible for providing the expertise and methods of data analysis, analysing inputs provided by data providers and supporting D4S task team analysis.

This framework contract reinforces ALG’s position as a reference partner in the digital transformation of European aviation, together with the rest of the projects we carry out in this field for other stakeholders such as EUROCONTROL.
